Quartzite textures in 8K, 16K and 32K for 3D rendering and archviz
Thirdmap's quartzite collection is a library of more than 60 photo-scanned stone textures for 3D and archviz, each captured from one real slab and delivered in resolutions up to 32K. Each is a digital surface of real stone, not an engineered quartz countertop, a physical slab or a stock photo, and never AI-generated or procedural. Because every texture is a scan of one real slab, the grain, colour and veining in your render belong to the stone itself, and each scan is between about 2800 and 3550 mm wide.

Quartzite texture explained: interlocking quartz grains, glassy and hard
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock: sandstone that heat and pressure have recrystallised into a tight mosaic of interlocking quartz grains. That is why a quartzite texture reads as glassy and crystalline, with a faint sparkle, rather than soft or powdery. As a rock, quartzite sits around 7 on the Mohs scale, well above marble. Quartzite is a rock made of quartz grains, not an engineered quartz surface.
Marble-like veining with quartzite hardness
Many quartzites carry veining that recalls marble, set in a glassier, more crystalline grain. For a render, that gives the flowing pattern of a marble surface with a crisper finish. Choose a quartzite texture when you want marble-like veining with that crystalline grain, and a marble texture when you want the softer, more traditional character.
Quartzite textures by colour: from white and grey to the signature blues and greens
The collection runs well beyond blue and green. The Main Colour filter lists 20 grey, 14 cream, 7 beige, 6 pink, 5 black and 4 white textures, alongside gold, red, orange and multicolour stones, from deep blacks to a white quartzite for a bright kitchen render. The Main Colour and Vein Colour filters narrow the grid by body colour or by vein.
Crystalline quartzite grain, sharp from 8K, 16K to 32K
Every quartzite texture comes in 8K, 16K and 32K, and you choose the size per texture. The glassy, crystalline grain is what higher resolution protects: at 32K the grain holds up when the camera pushes in on a worktop edge or a wall detail. Use 8K for medium shots, 16K for close-up detail and 32K for extreme close-ups where the surface fills the frame. The 8K file is the lighter one and holds less detail than 8K, 16K or 32K.
Ready for Corona, Unreal and any PBR render engine
Thirdmap's quartzite textures are 8-bit JPG colour maps, optimised for PBR workflows and photorealistic results in any render engine, such as Corona and Unreal. The colour map drops straight into a PBR material, and you set the roughness for the finish you want. Because the scanned slabs have a smooth surface with no relief of their own, normal maps are not included, and the detail lives in the high-resolution colour itself. Custom 16-bit or 24-bit files can be requested for an additional charge.
Quartzite textures FAQ
What is quartzite texture, and why does it look glassy?
A quartzite texture is the digital surface of quartzite, a metamorphic rock formed when sandstone is recrystallised by heat and pressure into interlocking quartz grains. Those tightly fused grains give it a glassy, crystalline look with a faint sparkle. Thirdmap captures that surface by photo-scanning real slabs, so the grain in your render is the stone's own and not a synthetic approximation.
How is quartzite different from quartz and from marble?
Quartzite is a natural rock made of quartz grains, while quartz countertops are usually an engineered surface of crushed quartz and resin. Marble is a different rock: softer than quartzite, with a more flowing pattern. Quartzite often combines marble-like veining with a glassier, more crystalline grain. For 3D work, a quartzite texture gives you that grain and veining as a single, unrepeated scan of a real slab.
Which colours does quartzite come in (blue, green, white)?
Quartzite comes in a wide range of colours, from white, cream and grey to intense blues and greens. In Thirdmap's quartzite collection the Main Colour filter lists 8 blue, around 20 green and 4 white textures, among others. Use the filter on the collection page to narrow the grid by colour for a wall, a floor or a feature surface.
What resolution are the quartzite textures (up to 32K)?
Every quartzite texture is available in 8K, 16K and 32K, which you choose per texture. 8K suits medium shots, 16K covers close-up detail and 32K holds the crystalline grain for extreme close-ups where the surface fills the frame. Files are standard 8-bit JPG, and 16-bit or 24-bit versions can be provided on request for an additional charge.
Are the quartzite textures seamless?
No. Each quartzite texture is a photo scan of one real slab, so it is not seamless or tileable. That is what makes each texture one of a kind. A scan is between about 2800 and 3550 mm wide, which covers a large area of a render in a single, unrepeated image.
