Marble textures in 16K and 32K for 3D rendering and archviz

Third Map's marble collection is a library of photo-scanned marble stone textures for 3D artists and archviz studios, captured from real marble slabs and delivered in resolutions up to 32K. It covers more than 130 marble textures across the classic varieties - Calacatta, Carrara and Nero Marquina among them - with the veining reading true at extreme close range. These are digital surface textures for rendering, not physical slabs and not wall-paint effects.

Every marble texture is a scan of one real slab, so the vein pattern in your render is the stone's own, not a generic marble look stretched across a surface.

Marble textures by colour

Third Map's marble textures span the full colour range, from bright white Carrara and Calacatta to deep black Nero Marquina, through grey, beige and green. The colour filter runs across every marble in the catalogue, so you can line up candidates for a countertop render, a feature wall or a floor scene without leaving the collection.

Marble varieties

Marble is defined by its named varieties, and the collection carries the ones archviz reaches for most: Calacatta, Carrara, Nero Marquina, Arabescato, Emperador and Statuario, plus a range of breccia marbles. Each variety is scanned from that specific stone, so its signature veining is faithful, not a recolour of a generic marble.

Ultra high resolution marble: 16K and 32K photo-scanned veining

Every Third Map marble texture is photo-scanned and offered in 8K, 16K and 32K, so these are genuinely high resolution marble textures. Marble lives or dies on its veining, and at 32K a full slab is captured at roughly 90 to 110 pixels per centimetre of real marble, so a vein still reads as stone when the camera sits centimetres from the surface. 16K is the sweet spot for most close work; 8K keeps files light for wide and mid shots, where the extra detail would not show.

Marble textures built for photorealistic 3D and archviz

Third Map's marble textures are 8-bit JPG colour maps, optimised for PBR workflows and photorealistic results in any PBR render engine such as V-Ray and Corona. You plug the colour map into your material and it behaves the way your pipeline already expects; because the scanned marble is polished, no normal map is needed. Selected marbles also have an optional ready-to-use V-Ray setup, sold as a separate add-on (V-Ray 6 or higher recommended); the base texture is bought separately.

Real photo-scanned marble, not procedural or AI

Every marble texture here is a photo scan of a real marble slab - a one-of-a-kind capture, not an AI-generated or procedurally built pattern. The veining and colour are the real stone's, exactly as scanned. Because each scan is a unique slab, the textures are not seamless or tileable: no two repeat, so what you place in a render is a genuine marble face rather than a tiling pattern.

Marble textures FAQ

Which marble varieties are available (Calacatta, Carrara, Nero Marquina, breccia)?

The collection includes named varieties such as Calacatta, Carrara, Nero Marquina, Arabescato, Emperador and Statuario, along with a range of breccia marbles, across a wide colour palette. Each is a photo scan of that specific marble, so the veining is the real stone's rather than a generic marble look.

What resolution are the marble textures (up to 32K)?

Every marble texture is available in 8K, 16K and 32K. 16K covers most close work, and 32K holds the veining for macro shots where the surface fills the frame - roughly 90 to 110 pixels per centimetre of real stone. You choose the resolution per texture, so you match the file size to the shot.

What file format do you get, and does it include normal or PBR maps?

Marble textures are delivered as 8-bit JPG colour maps (not PNG), with 16-bit and 24-bit available on request for an additional charge. Because the scanned marble is polished and smooth, there is no natural relief, so normal maps are not included - the veining detail lives in the high-resolution colour itself, ready to drop into a PBR material.

Are the marble textures seamless?

No. Each marble texture is a photo scan of one real slab, so it is not seamless or tileable - the veining never shows a repeat. Each scan covers a full slab, around 3000 x 2000 mm on average, enough to cover most surfaces in a render without repeating.

Which render engines do they work with, and are there ready-to-use presets?

They work in any PBR render engine such as V-Ray and Corona. Selected marbles also come with an optional ready-to-use V-Ray setup, available as a separate add-on (V-Ray 6 or higher recommended); it is a material configuration for that texture, and the base texture is bought separately.
