The following rules apply to all images generated by Third Map, regardless of their resolution, as well as to other content that may be freely downloaded from our website.

Installation and Storage. You may copy all Third Map assets content onto a local hard drive, including network-attached storage. You may not store anyThird Map assets material in a manner that allows indiscriminate access to such material.

Usage. You may use all Third Map material for any commercial purpose and in any manner you desire, such as 3D rendering, real-time visualization, illustration, image manipulation, etc. We reserve no rights over works created using our products. No royalties, conditions, or limitations are imposed. However, you may not make the licensed material available to others in a manner that is inconsistent with the digital redistribution limits as stated below.

Redistribution. You may redistribute (i.e., make available to third parties) the original Third Map assets content in digital format provided the following conditions are met:

  • Textures: You may redistribute unmodified textures at resolutions up to 1k (e.g., 1024px x 1024px), in JPEG format only, and only as part of other primary content, such as software, 3D models, tutorials, etc.

  • Material Settings: You may redistribute material settings (e.g., .mxm files, .mat files, etc.) without restrictions, provided that the associated map files, if included, comply with the conditions set forth above.

  • 3D Models: Mesh data (e.g., .max files, .obj files, etc.) may not be redistributed in any manner or form.

  • All other content may be freely redistributed unless otherwise stated.

Texture Format and Quality

Q: What types of textures does Third Map offer?

A: Third Map specializes in high-resolution natural stone textures for 3D rendering, architectural visualization, movies and game design. Our textures are optimized for PBR workflows, ensuring photorealistic results in any rendering engine.

Q: Are the textures tileable?

A: No, the textures in Thirdmap are not seamless. They are sourced from real natural stones, ensuring each one is one-of-a-kind

Q: What is the format of the textures?

A: All textures are in 8-bit JPG format.

Q: What resolutions are available for your textures?

A: Our textures are available in 8K, 16K, and 32K resolution, ensuring extreme detail and realism for high-quality renders. If you require even higher resolutions, please contact us via the Contact Us page, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Q: Can I download the images in other formats?

A: Standard downloads are in 8-bit JPG format. However, we can provide custom formats with 16-bit or 24-bit color depth in various resolutions upon request. Please note that there is an additional charge for this service.

Q: What is the real-world size of the textures?

A: Our textures vary in size, with an average of approximately 3000x2000 mm. The exact dimensions of each texture are specified in its description.

Purchase and Delivery

Q: Do you offer free sample textures?

A: Yes! We offer a free 8K texture sample so you can test the quality before purchasing. Check our Free Downloads section.

Q: How long does it take to receive the textures after purchase?

A: Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, you will immediately receive an email with a download link. Please check your spam folder if you don't see the email in your inbox.

Q: I haven't received a confirmation email after paying with PayPal.

A: Please verify that your account information is correct and that your billing information is up-to-date. Try completing the payment again. If the issue persists, we suggest trying a different payment method.

Additional Information

Q: Do you provide normal maps?

A: The natural stones used to create our textures at Thirdmap are polished and do not naturally exhibit holes or reliefs. Therefore, we do not provide normal maps.
